The film Fargo is a great movie with a great theme that is simply pointed out at the end of the movie with the quote “There's more to life than a little money you know...." When this quote came in at the end of the movie in the backseat of the car was the perfect moment for it to happen to maybe the wrong person but still it clicked to me because it really summed up the movie in the right way after all the murder and pointless killings over a couple of bucks. The Coen brothers have a lot of different things that contrast in this movie such as the cops simple happy life with simple excitements and pleasures towards the short lived money hungry life of the criminals that seemed so much more interesting and exciting (for the wrong reasons) and ending quicker than the cops family. The cops family was still maintained and going on in the movie because they understood the purpose in there life, unlike the people who went out putting money first on there list, they lost in life whereas the cops life prevailed. Jerry one of the main characters of the film is probably the person that would have needed to hear the quote first hand because of his cowardice nature and bad decisions. Jerry has a lot of flaws that cause him to be very weak and causes more problems than he attempts to solve, and for the money and success he makes the biggest mistake of his life. The quote ties in because all the murder and violence occurred over some money, life is a lot more important than any money and the cop understood this because of the baby that she was pregnant with, knowing that the baby and a family is more important than a couple of bucks.
